    Have the joyous job of pointing slabs, what’s the preferred mix for the job?

    1part cement to 3parts sharpsand not to wet

    Believe it or not you can buy it ready mixed in 5L tubs, from Wickes i think it’s £10 a tub.

    pointing mix is gauged at- 2 silver sand,1 grey building sand,1 quality cement..

    I’ve just done mine using two 20kg bags of Cement-tone wide joint compound – just brush it in then leave it overnight. In the morning dry brush off any excess – job done! Dead easy!!

    Special frost resistant brush in stuff. Sorry can’t remember the name. Gel fix or something.
