  • Pike on an Anthem 29er – good idea?

Currently running an old set of Reba’s on my Anthem X 29er, I find them a little flexy as I am firmly in the realms of Fat Old Knacker. I have seen a set of 51mm offset Pikes at 120mm and apart from the weight (200 or so grams), I don’t see a downside. I already run a dropper and most of my rides are done in the Peaks.
I am looking to use the bike for Endurance rides like the Scott Marathons etc…
What’s the STW consensus, good idea, bad idea or just plain stupid?

Go on hit me with it!

Definitely yes. I used 140mm Revelations on my Yeti before swapping for Pikes with the same travel. Minimal weight difference but ride just feels ‘better’.
