Had a pair of these for a few months, and have recently found that after a couple of hours of riding they begin to bottom out way before they should do.

All works fine, then suddenly they start giving about 80mm of travel and bottoming out with a hard clunk. Once I empty both air chambers they refuse to to reach full travel, but then leaving them for a day or two and periodically cycling them through their travel seems to get them back to normal…

    Any ideas?

had the same on my Pike 454 dual airs.
Was getting about 100mm of the 140mm travel.
Put them in for a service – was told:
    No oil inside
Both top and bottom seal had blown on cartridge
    needed new mission control unit

    Total damage £160 – ouch.
Mine were bought new, about 14months ago, this is first service required.

    Best of luck with yours.

    Sounds like.

JPcapel, not sure why the seals blowing would have destroyed the motion control cartridge, sounds a bit suss to me.
