Just one, won't shift and rounded out, started to drill the bugger but progress is slow, now come to work to think logically about the problem rather than charging in and doing something rash ...I need advice please ... has anyone used a small angle grinder to solve a similar problem? just a thought....

start with small drill bit, then increase till the head is drilled off do same to other one, remove cleat, use pliers to turn bolt, done it several times, dont use a small grinder, if you cut to deep and weaken the bolt it will snap off and the remaining stuck in shoe, or go to builders merchants and get a screw removal tool its about £15 use coppa slip next time i do and after 12months the bolts can still be removed

Might be a bit late for you, but I find that using an impact driver before you get to the terminally rounded stage is a winning strategy.
