it does all the shit that my N97 was supposed to, but didn’t.

You know, that’s a great way of summing up my Desire, only for me you can cross out “N97” and put “Samsung Galaxy and two Windows Mobile devices”.

Having had an ipod touch for ages, and also a Samsung touch screen phone, I was alarmed to find my son’s new LG phone requires a fairly hefty pressure on the screen to make it work. I’d avoid anything like that in the future. I presume not all android phones are like that.

samuri – your son’s phone more than likely has a resistive touch screen, rather than a capacative.

Not necessarily a bad thing (unless the pressure required is a real PITA), just that one works on pressure and the other electrodes. On the flip side, his will work with a stylus, where the more sensitive capacitive screens require a finger or such like.

I have a Samsung what does calls and texts and pics and videos and has a cam and a radio and internets and everything.

Cost me twenty pounds brand new.  🙂

Oh and the battery lasts a few days longer than an iPhone….
