Just built up Inbred SS 29er. I like it, but I’m a bit disappointed about the chainstay tyre clearance. The website says “Huge tyre clearance, 2.4″ will just about fit but 2.0″ – 2.3″ recommended. To be fair a 2.4” will just fit, but even with a 2.25 (Smorgasbord) there’s not a lot of mud room.

The 26″ blurb says “Huge tyre clearance”, 2.5″ will just about fit but 2.0″ – 2.3″ recommended” but chainstay width is a full cm more than the 29er.

Are all the On-one Inbred and Scandal 29ers the same in this respect. Or do some versions have wider stays / better tyre clearance?

Yeah I just had an inbred vertical drop built up but when the front mech was fitted it only gave me about 2mm of clearance with a 2.2 tyre fitted. In the end I decided to run it 1 x 10 with a chain guard to gain the maximum clearance.
