Will I be struck down if I reveal what the DING and DONG codes stand for?

Will I have my googly-eyed Gnasher badge confiscated if I do?

I was in the fanclub and used to get a birthday card every year.

They don't send me them any more.

Ahh, they must have heard you revealing the secret passwords to a non-Fanclub member and revoked your membership.

Once when I was working at a popular family visitor attraction, a small kid was wearing a DtM fanclub badge so I challenged him to tell me the secret password and he almost burst out bawling LOL oops.

Controversial question, but...

Was the G in Gnasher silent or spoken though?

If spoken was it a glottal stop type sound or a hard Gee??

Quiz question (and no Googling) what breed of dog was Gnasher?

(and yes I know the answer)

I was a member of the Dennis the Menace fanclub. I loved the special wallet the badges came in! I though it was like a cool police badge.
might have been 30 years ago now!

I was also in OWRRAS, anyone else?

And it isn't Dennis the Menace and Walter the Softie any more, it's just Dennis and Walter. And they are friends.

I don't know if this is why you're asking or if it's just a massive coincidence, but,

I believe that today is Dennis the Menace's 60th birthday.

I was.

[quote= http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-12770341 ]Over the decades, what children are allowed to do has changed hugely, as have the punishments. The beatings - or slipperings - that concluded each week's story have had to stop in our gentler age
Yaroo!

The fact that the animated version has Dennis with a southern accent has never sat well with me. I imagined him to be a Geordie.

So, did anyone actually regularly go out armed with a pea shooter and catapult then ?

I did.

It culminated in my friend and I having a Barnet Diablo - that was a dangerous weapon.
