I'd say the big lump of grit suggests pennines, so Yorkshire or Northumberland are most likely. Derbyshire can probably be discounted as it's debatable whether it's the midlands or north.

Looks a bit like Baysdale Moor up above Kildale on North York Moors

Ms Spanner reckons it's Harkerside Moor, just above Low Row in Swaledale.
Looks a bit too gritstoney to me, but that's her guess.I think it looks more like the Pendle/Roughlee area.
Any moor (sorry) clues?
