I’ve done a few jobs recently where one of these multi tools might be handy. Are they actually any good for cutting stuff in awkward places? How do the mains one compare to battery? I quite fancy this AEG as I have a couple of mini drivers that use the same battery. Mains option is probably the Blue Bosch. Or is there a decent cheaper option? I suspect it will only be for occasional use.

Also, who came up with the name? Makes googling much trickier

I’ve got a green Bosch one and the 10.8v blue Bosch battery one.

Only real difference is run time.

If I were regularly using it as a detail sander on larger areas then I’d go for mains.

For cutting and trimming jobs there’s no difference in performance.

I did a PSA last week for the Aldi one, not used it yet but was a good price. I was going to go for a blue Bosch tho.

I have a mains Hitachi Die Grinder which you can bodge thin grinding wheels onto, I call it ‘the rotating wheel of death’

I’d get the blue Bosch one, having a lead isn’t a real hindrance and the Blue Bosch kit is very nicely made.
