Have I missed the boat on this? JE James are now £23 a piece (2.0 not 1.8 BTW)
Promised a m8 a pair for £40... if so, some-one posted about Specialized storm for £35 a pair IIRC, anyone know where that was from?

RRP has been £35 apiece for some time now, anywhere selling them for anything under £30 each you can consider cheap now.
Would sell you mine as they rarely get used as I don't like using anything so narrow, but I think come the depths of this winter I may not have any choice once again!

Nope but I've got a used set I want to shift

annoyingly they were £20 last week when I looked but didn't order them & have been for months... a classic winter is here, let put up the price.... or supply are running down, as everyone orders them.
nope, not interested in used set, but cheers anyways.

If you order them now, you may be lucky and have them in time for next winter

Dirty Dans are £20 each at On One, like a much lighter Mud X.

I've had them from here in previous years:
http://www.tritoncycles.co.uk/m5b0s120p3270/BONTRAGER_MUD-X_TLR_Pair(now seems to be £37 a pair before postage if I'm reading it correctly)

cheers guys, went for Taff's suggestion, as Swinnerton's are a localish bike shop.
Not willing to use my m8 as a test subject for winter tyres.. but would be interested to hear how Dirty Dan's perform (though my RR's are really rubbish on wet roots).

Quick bump, as another m8 want one, not two, and the only deal on this thread still working is the pair from Triton Cycles.
So anywhere else got em for £20?

I can report back that Dans do indeed perform like a lighter Mud X. Being lighter they seem to spin up quicker and don't feel as slow. Wear is comparable to a Mud X, I've done 70 or so road miles on mine and they're showing very slight wear on the central lugs.

Bob as per the orignal post 2.0 not 1.8, but thanks for trying
£23 from J E James seems the best so far, but they've never been speedy in delivering kit...
are the Diry's cheap anywhere though Njee? None list on the on-one site anymore, good god the £40 a pop... noooooooo, not a choice then.

FYI The 1.8 from All terrain are a softer dual compound than the 2.0 from J E James but the 2.0 have the reinforced side walls. You pay your money and take your choice.
