    Hi all
Any recommendations for FREE software for burning MP3 files to CD-R.
Yes windows does it by default, but the resultant discs wont play in my car (Toyota sat-nav thing).
CDBurnerXP does the basic job, and the discs play OK.
However, I have all my music as 320kbs MP3s, and want to increase the compression on the disc I burn. Again, Media player does this with selectable re-coding of the files, but the disc wont play in the car (Thanks a bunch Microsoft!).
I’ve searched around and tried a few, but not found one with the option to increase the compression.
    Suggestions please

Free ripper, allows re-encoding of MP3 – set the compression you want in the options, then choose Re-encode from the Convert menu.

    Really nice bit of software.

(I use Nero for burning, but it’s not free.)
