You know, to hold the chainring onto the crank?

    I’m guessing yes.

Anyone else bought one, and if so, did it come with the lockring?

depends, if you buy of ebay, there’s some sellers that sell new ones without lockrings.

Yes. They should come with the crank arms. Is this a square taper or external jobbie?

    CRC…

    Square taper. Definitely no lockring.

    Thanks people!

Yeah, bought as a “crankset” from CRC – so selected the crank length/ colour, chainring size/colour/finish, plus had the option to add some crankbolts. No mention of needing to order a locking separately.

I’d assume that a “crankset” comes with all the parts needed to use it.

I recall when I bought a Uno from CRC, it arrived ‘loose’ i.e. the lockring wasn’t tightened. I guess they must assemble the crankset as per the customers requirements and forgot the lockring in your case. Contact CRC asap for a lockring. Make sure you’ve also got the tool to tighten it up.

Mine wasn’t even assembled. Crank arms in one sealed packet, chainring in another sealed packet.

    CRC contacted.

Is it a cassette lockring tool to tighten?

CRC made a bit of a mess then by the sound of it. Im sure they’ll wing your a lockring asap.
