   I didn't think making a decision on which tyre would be so difficult considering I knew I was going for High Rollers..

   Need to get a couple for the Alps (Backcountry week)... Which ones!

   2.35, Dual Ply, 60A, Kevlar, 890g
   2.35, Dual Ply, 60A, Wire, 1100g

   Whats the difference between the Kevlar & Wire? Yes I know its the actual beading and the weight, the Kevlar is sold as a Freeride tyre..

   Then I find out that High Roller mk2's are coming out in the next couple of weeks...

   Tempted to go for a 2.4/2.5 on the rear, but will it fit a Kona Kula..?

   if you get a 2.5 put it on the front. Unless you want your front end washing out every time you go round a corner with an extra .25" of grip on the rear

   I thought the dual ply's were all wire? might be wrong (often am)

   I don't think you'll get a mk2 in time. If you can get a 2.5 in there then do it

   Dual plys on a Kula? Are you sure you need to do this? Single plys with adequate pressure should be fine for xc bike descending speeds, maybe a dual ply on the rear only?

   Personally, I reckon that any riding that justifies dualplies also justifies a supertacky on the front, rather than the 60s maxxpro.

   I used Advantage 2.25's on my alps backcountry trip and they were pretty good. A few punctures but due to thorns rather than snackbites.

   Biggest I can get on my front is 2.35, currently running a 2.35 HR LUST on the front. I'm tempted to get a 3C compound for the front if I can find one in LUST format.

   Still not sure on the rear tyre though, I can only find 2 places that do the HR Dual Ply Kevlar, makes me think if it actually exists?!

   Researching a bit, I don't think the Kevlar is dual ply... can anyone else confirm this?

   Now... Could I put my LUST on the rear and stick a tube in it? To save me buying 2 new tyres?

    You'll have no issues running a lust tyre with a tube apart from the fact that it's a tad fragile (IME).

    They have them all listed on nextdaytyres.co.uk

    I have just ran Advantages for a full trip in 2.4 kevlar single ply and didnt get one puncture (i am a light rider). The only prob i had was the front coming off the 717 a couple of times (thats hopes fault for not doing 719's on their SP hoops)

    Are you running tubless? If so get the wire ones as they seem to work better in my expereince.

    Def run either the same at both ends or the bigger one at the front. 60A at both ends if you want decent wear.

    I didn't think you could get a dual ply kevlar bead Maxxis tyre either, unless the UST ones are kevlar?

    If it is truly around 800g then I absolutely guarantee you it's not dual ply. The lightest dual ply tyre in the Maxxis range I've found is the 2.35 High Roller but it's still 1150g or thereabouts.

    I'm already running a 2.35 LUST High Roller on a Swiss ex5.1 Rim with Sid forks on front.

    I think I will go for 2.35 Dual Ply, Wire for the rear and keep with the tubeless front. Tried going tubeless on the rear and it ended with many blowouts, speeddisc rim.
