Anyone got any experience of their more 'casual' ones, the Cruze or Alpine in particular? Do they last well, are they comfy, is the cleat recessed enough to not be too click off the bike?

    Cheers

We've not had any back from those we have sold this year however I am not sure a season of use is enough to establish how well they wear. Cleats will always tend to click as if they are recessed deep enough to never touch flat ground they can be a pain to engage in a pedal.

    I've got the switchbacks.

They fit the bill for what I wanted, i.e. a sole that was suitable for hikey-bikey in scottish hills, but with a lighter, racier upper than the hiking boot style SPDs.

I don't notice the cleat at all when walking, and the soles seem pretty grippy and aggro.

I'm a bit worried that my big toe seems to be burrowing out the top of the upper, not good for £110 shoes! Hopefully a bit of Freesole will stop it developing into a bigger hole…

    I've got a 43 when normally I would take a 44 so watch the sizing…
