  • Marzhocci Shock Problem – valve pin too short

My fox pump doesn't allow me to pump my Marzhocci shock,

Even if I screw it on fully the pin within the shock valve doesn't compress enough to allow air to be pumped in.

Anyone got any cheap suggestions, I don't want to shell out £30 on a new shock pump, will one of those valve extenders work? Also doing a google search there is a "Marzhocci adaptor" but that seems to be something else.

    Suggestions please.

Is it a schraeder valve ? Maybe try a replacement core ?
(Marzochi adaptors are for a narrower valve than schraeder, though might take the same core)

Yep, schraeder valve, new core was my first thought, or at least unscrew this one a couple of turns….

Onto CRC then for replacement and remover.

    typing 'marzocchi' might help.

Chances are you'll need a new pump anyway. Marzocchi forks run lower pressures than RS or Fox so you might have issues getting the pump off when it does work, as well as a not to accurate reading on the dial.

A good point well put Bommer! Its quite late and brain in't working!

But if you took the time to read my original post you will see it is for a shock not a fork, therefore my Fox pump will be adequate if I could get it to work.
