It’s a reasonably new light from smudge and they’ve also been out of stock after he sold his first batch. Second batch went out a couple of weeks back.

I had the lumenator from him for one winter and it was an excellent light and support from smudge is really good.

Okay, so it seems no one has one. I’ll write my own little review.

Ordered yesterday lunch time, just turned up. Excellent service!

Quick plug in of the battery to blind everyone in the office done.

Nice little light, hopefully get out this week and i’ll write a bit more then 😀

Great review. I’ll be sure to remember it next time I need a helmet light for the office 🙂

I’ve been running the “old” Lumenator for several years now.

Excellent lamp with a good spread. Do my climbing on level 2 and descend on level 3 (of 4). Can get two night rides out of the battery with plenty of reserve.

Fitted to a Hope universal light clamp to secure it to the bars.

    Thoroughly recommended.

If it’s a slightly ‘spottier’ beam than the lumenator, it’ll be perfect. Be interested to hear if it is.

    Any pics??

Just of the light, or if you have any of the spread on trail would be puurfect

    Found one

Got to ask, how would an £18 Solar Storm compare?

The money is in the battery and the charger, less likely to burn yer house down.

Would leave my luminator charging overnight in the kitchen while I sleep. Both my solar storm x2 and trustfire lights I charge in the shed… In a lipo bag… In a metal tin. As above, decent charger, decent batteries with protection and well sealed from smudge.

Also the customer service is awesome.

Lift the beam a bit and you’ll see a whole lot further, you don’t need that much light by your front wheel for hooning along.
Pair it with an 800 unit from Smudge and you’ve got more than you will ever need in my opinion.
And like others have said, you won’t burn the house down and Smudges service is great.

How do I go about buying from smudge? Does he have a website?

as they note it is the batteries that you are paying for
Solarstorm ones are shit in use and dangerous to charge

He goes by the name MTB Batteries.

I’ll be buying from him again.
