Hi all, I was doing the South Downs Way run this weekend (13-14th June 2015) and found a GoPro Hero3 at the end of a particularly sketchy chalk section, it looks like it may have been the casualty of a nasty crash. If you know of anyone who may have lost it let me know. I have footage to verify who it may belong to and a time/date for it too. Thanks

Oh my goodness. It could well be mine. I’d given it up as lost and the just thought I’d have a quick look at the internet…

I did the SDW in a day on 13 June and the GoPro mounting snapped, I suspect somewhere off the back of Old Winchester Hill. My children were gutted – they love the GoPro.

    SDW

The footage on it probably includes:

    – Early morning shot of King Alfred’s statue in Winchester
    – My friend Alec (yellow top) on a blue Salsa
    – A few shots of us passing (mad) runners doing the SDW Centurion
    – Some shaky downhills

All shots would have been from the handlebar mounting, which was positioned above the bars.

I’d happily come and pick it up/pay for postage/etc.

    Best regards

    Sounds promising 🙂

Is there a setting anywhere within a Gopro that you can provide contact info in the same way that you can on a Garmin? Other than that maybe a contact number written in Tipex or similar on the back of the camera casing.

If it’s mine and I get it back I’m going to put a sticker on the back.
