Where can I buy some loose balls for an aincient 105 road headset? It's for a 30yo pub steed and the brief for building the thing is old/ junk parts only, but it still needs some bearings in the headset.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

This might sound sarcastic but what about a local bearing supplier?

I got a whole pile from my LBS recently – 1/8th I think? It was something like £1.50 for 50 or something.

@ Kingtut: Not sarcastic at all. The company has an account with one… I should just get my finger out and stop being a lazy c…..

@ Everyone: Spoke to my LBS but they didn't seem to understand the concept loose bearings not in a race. I think they just weren't interested. What diameter do I need? Slippery things to get in a Vernier.

105 headset, Model No. HP-1055 (circa 1989) – 5/32" bearings loose or caged.
    Hope this helps.

Is there something about the cups that rule out caged bearings? I swapped loose for caged 'back in the day' and had no problems.
