Is it allowable/cheeky/defo no no/everybody does it??

Looking at alternatives for starting an early ride and the carpark doesn’t open till 09:00. Don’t want to park on the access road (as some do)so thought park a little further away and ride in.

Or any other routes people use

There is only a couple of spaces to park and there is always some prat blocking the road its done but don’t block the road, I ride that way most sundays and it is used by many people walkers and bikers, locally the trail across is called the planks, as it is made up of planks across the marshy ground , try keeping to the single track its becoming a motorway instead of a nice single track, the original trail is to the left the muddy churned up parts are peoples diversions, original trail is hard and stoney more difficult to ride but was not muddy until the new lines came about and now fill the old lines with mud/peat bog.it is a nice ride so enjoy it, if you can make it across without a dab this time of year well done.

Why’s it cheeky? You don’t have to pay to use the trails. I cycle in through the main entrance, often with a cheery hello from the cabin boy/girl.

Its a bridleway so not cheeky at all. Riding from the forest before they put the planks in was lots of fun when it was bone dry 😀

We regularly park in LLangollen, then climb up to ‘the planks of doom’, quick lap of Llandegla, cafe included, then whizz back down to Llangollen – makes a ‘proper’ ride of it.
