What’s anybody used that worked well in a similar space? Sun room extension for dining table and sofas, south west facing, ceiling height 4.2m at its peak and the room’s 8m x 4.5m with large windows on 2 sides, a trifold door and 2 veluxes so should be reasonably bright in the day time. Just a couple of boxed in steels so nothing fancy roof wise.

I’m thinking simple rows of recessed cfls/leds as use of space may change over time – is there a standard ratio for spacing downlighters or lights/watts per square meter?

    Thanks

No standard ratio just generic lux levels for certain rooms. Rather than direct lights which may need to be tilted as they are not fitted to a horizontal ceiling indirect lights ie wall lights coupled with some down lights.

Cheers have thought about wall uplights but don’t have any anywhere else and never been keen on them. Almost tempted by some pendants and big paper shades as saw them in a vaulted gallery and they looked like hot air balloons…. sort of.
