    What can you recommend. The one on our kindle HD doesn’t seem to work on the ordinary kindle fire.

    You may find that the version of Android running on your Fire is now too old for many newer apps to run.

    There are guides online on how to upgrade to 4.2, but I wouldn’t recommended trying this if you’re not happy and fully understanding of what you’re doing, and you’re happy you have the 1 GB, 1.2 GHz version post Sept 2012.
