This arrived in the post today.
Previous own said it might need a service, I’ve never seen this before….and the photo didn’t show this, by chance of course.
The top bushing isn’t round either so who knows what’s happened.
Was going to send it to LoCo for a service but can it be rescued???

    Thanks

Let all the air out and the two ends can be twisted (you may need to put an allen key in the eyelets) to line up just fine. It’s not an issue.

The eyes out of line are a non-issue as munrobiker mentioned. And hopefully a change of bushings will fix the ovality issue? I don’t know how oval it is.
You may not need to send it to loco to be honest. Depends if you can change the bushings yourself.

Ok thanks that’s good to know.
I’ve got a bolt type bushing tool that off bought ebay so will try and change those and fit it to bike and see how it goes.

Change the eyelet bushings and fit new spacers and it should be fine.
The body tube ( the smooth shaft can just be rotated to match) 😀

    Will do thanks.
Should I grease/oil the bushings and spacers when I fit them?
If it doesn’t feel right when I use it I’ll be in touch about a service.

No don’t bother greasing the spacers the du/eyelet bushes that press into the sho0ck are self lubricating, having a PTFE coating or similar, or are polymer.
