Just test rode the epic route this morning – fingers crossed there’s wind and sun from now till the event – the vast majority is fine, but there’s some sections (just out of Angmering park, after the sewage works on the SDW to name a few) that were muddy hell – I’d dread to think what it would be like after a few hundred riders have gone through!!

All in all though, a pretty nice route.
Nowt technical, and a bit of Tarmac to cover, but you’ll have fun!

Glad is not on my lacal Bridleways, as you say hope for some dry wheather or it will be a big muddy mess afterwards 🙁

Or….you can head out from a pokey little village on the south coast!!

Can you ride this course without joining the event itself?

I only ask as a friend of mine is riding it and it’s now sold out, otherwise I’d happily pay to be a part of the event….

My guess is that you’re asking about this year’s event now..? 😉

There is nothing to stop you riding the course, but you’ll not be able to use the feed stations or any support from the events organisers.

You could always volunteer for a couple of hours car park help or marshalling first thing, then you have the chance to also ride it for free (with support): http://www.ukcyclingevents.co.uk/volunteer/
