How good is the new android OS mapping app before I splash out £18 for a year?
does it give your location accurately?
does it need an H signal for it to work properly? or can you cache it up before departure.
There doesn’t seem to be a try before you buy trial. Is there anyway of getting any maps for free or making the sub a bit cheaper that anyone knows? thanks.

Don’t bother. I’m disappointed with my investment and will certainly not be renewing the subscription.

Currently can’t download maps at all, so useless without a good signal. Unless a recent update has added this? My Mrs on Apple can download but only a tiny area at a time.

I have other gripes but that’s the show stopper for me.

I’d agree. Bit of a half arsed suite of apps and online products coming from OS that don’t integrate and make little sense or indeed much use when out and about. Someone somewhere should have sat down and planned things out a bit before sending various teams off to develop bits and pieces and then charge punters to beta test them.
