Any idea how I can work out what the thinnest tyre I can put on a rim is ?

I'm converting a set of On One 29er wheels purely for road use and want to stick roadie tyres on as the commute they will be used for is a straight road run.

I've run vredestein s-lick 1.25" on 717's before and they're plenty fat for poor roads. You'd probably be able to go to 1" easily enough I guess.

Mavic recommend a minimum of 28mm on a 17mm rim.

I've happily run a 1" tyre on a 717 in the past if that helps?
