I always fancied giving hangliding/paragliding a go, now it just looks like touring on a pashley in comparison.
How do they judge the landings? Surely it'd be way to easy to keep going untill you run out of height? Anyone ever atempted to land into a car/train/truck?

Impressive. Bloke at 1:27 looks like he nearly ran out of air.

1. What your rate of descent is, how do you map your descent etc?

IIRC It's about 1:2.5, i.e. if you find a 2000m mountain/valley, you can fly about 5km.

thisisnotaspoon - one assumes a pull-up to convert speed to height, then a conventional parachute.
