Just one, but I could see the point in having a few more, for road and mountain, a full face maybe, a bmx thing maybe, and maybe one for night riding, as the joystick bracket gets a bit annoying.

Giro Animas for XC
Giro Xen for Trail/AM
Casco Viper for anything really steepPosted 2 years ago # -
1x Giro Hex for commuting and other stuff

Fox Flux for everything; some other MET thing in case I split that one.
Need something new as the Flux is getting knocked about; can't get Xen here; didn't pass the Aussie Standard, which is very odd...

only recently got a bike helmet, after 15 years of not having one(was a giro hammerhead).i now have a bell variant gold/black.

An ageing Bell X-Ray for XC, that will soon be replaced
A Casco Viper for days when the up involves lots of cycling and the down warrants a full face
A Gyro full face jobbie for downhill daysPosted 2 years ago # -
Flippin' 'eck! How many heads have you got? Some of you need help.

2 at the mo
Giro Athlon for everything and an old Havoc for night rides. It has the light permanantly mounted, so I can grab n go with minimal faffing.I'm amazed at the number of people with pisspots! I've never considered one, but can see they might be toastier for winter commutes. What about the lack of peak in rain n snow - is that an issue?

I have 5:
1-Cheapo MET XC thingy (Probably gets used the most at the minute)
2-Peakless Giro (Transfer?) for use on the Road bike or as an XC backup
3-Mace pisspot for arsing about...
4-661 strike full facer for DH.
5-Scuffed old animal MX lid as backup for item 4I don't tend to spend alot on lids, just seem to have accrued a few I think I had 7 at one point, but 5 is sensible...

Yes I did also have an S1, and a cheapy Giro Flume that I used for about 2 weeks whilst I waited for my Atmos! Also got an old Exodus kicking about, so technically that's 7 helmets but I've not worn that in about 5 years!
I've worn all 6 of mine in the last 6 months, and wear 3 of them most weeks!

one per bike.
old giro sommat or other for commuting (road) this was relegated from XC status following a number of stacks
UVEX for XC
661 Evo bigger stuff.Posted 2 years ago # -
Just 2. Xen for MTB and Supermoto (or whatever the newer name for that is) for commuting.

Met Parachute for most XC stuff
Overpriced (but it was the only one left in Bourg that fitted, honest!) carbon Troy Lee for DH
Spare sixsixone for DH
Giro summut or other which I hate, and is kept set up for nightriding onlyReally would like to find a decent skatestyle lid for jumping and town, but can't find one small enough (i.e. one that is genuinely small, rather than a one-size-fits-all with loads of padding)

2. Giro Advantage for tests, Giro Atmos for everything else.

It gives you a good excuse to rock the controversial pisspot 'n' goggles look!
I have three - a Flux for general riding, a Bell Bellistic for radness, and a Bell pisspot (because it was eight quid).

LGB, have a look at Pro-tec lids - they come in four different sizes.

that's what peaks are for? Never seen the point of them personally.Posted 2 years ago # -
Giro Xen - for proper mountainbiking
Giro E2 - for southern shandy'shire riding
Bell faction (piss pot) - for skateparks
Soon to be joined by a full face as im spending enough time at the BMX track to justify one.

I've only had 3 in 23 years. Mind you I've only had 3 bikes and one additional frame in that time as well.

1 9 year old Giro Skyline which I'm starting to think about replacing with a Hex. Fancy an advantage for TTs next season and maybe an Ionos for bling XC and road.
