Just wondering and if anyone has a ridiculous amount, though I can see at least 11 being 'justifiable'. Maybe: XC lid, a more bulky XC half face, a DJ/MX/skate helmet, a road helmet, a full face helmet, a helmet to commute and a helmet each to race XC, CX, road, DH, BMX ..

I use one for all my bike riding at the moment (an MTB half face). I used to have another to commute but its a bit small and I no longer commute

xc mtb helmet.

Road helmet because with a 58 head and a bulbous mtb lid my head looked even bigger/ more ridiculous.

BMX that I bought especially for Laggan as I kept cracking my mtb lids.

I have 3-

A 661 Evo full facer that I wear downhilling.

A Giro E2 that I wear everywhere because it looks best and is better vented and more comfortable.

Just 2- my Hex, which I wear basically all the time, and my Bell Faction which is really just for when it's properly cold, as it's like brain insulation.

I have one, a hex. Don't wear one for commuting (3 miles each way on bike paths on a cargo bike = no need).

11 is justifiable!?!? Good grief - that would be one expensive habit before you're even spent a penny on an actual bike...

I've currently got two: giro mtb, not sure of the model - maybe a Xen & giro ionos. The latter is especially fantastic - really cool with loads of air flow compared to the mtb lid. I don't think I've ridden without a helmet on in the last 5 years or so...

I have 6:

1x Giro Atmos road lid replaced my ageing S1 a few years back, worn very occasionally.

2x Spesh Decibel (one black, one black/red): took over from Atmos as main helmets, both on team deals, don't really wear either now except in terrible weather

3x S-Works 2D (one black, one red, one white), black one for crap conditions, red one for MTBing, white one for road/REALLY dry off-road use.

Makes perfect sense really!

1 and don't know why I bought it as I never wear it - can't stand wearing a helmet (as many STW'rs will validate)

road: some giro road one - very holey cos I'm a sweaty bugger

general mtb: giro hex on it's way - cos it's quite holey and I'm a sweaty bugger
(replacing a giro semi - cos it's delaminating and too hot)

nights: very old giro something - cos it's got a torch strapped to it (even though haven't a battery right now)

alps (or if I ever did UK DH): giro mad max - cos I'm not fast but I am scaredy

Giro E2 that I use for everything, off-road, road, commuting, tri. Although I was recently thinking about getting a shiny new road specific lid. Any recommendations around and up to the £70 mark? Ta

Just one, but I could see the point in having a few more, for road and mountain, a full face maybe, a bmx thing maybe, and maybe one for night riding, as the joystick bracket gets a bit annoying.

Fox Flux for everything; some other MET thing in case I split that one.

Need something new as the Flux is getting knocked about; can't get Xen here; didn't pass the Aussie Standard, which is very odd...

2 at the mo
Giro Athlon for everything and an old Havoc for night rides. It has the light permanantly mounted, so I can grab n go with minimal faffing.

I'm amazed at the number of people with pisspots! I've never considered one, but can see they might be toastier for winter commutes. What about the lack of peak in rain n snow - is that an issue?

I have 5:

1-Cheapo MET XC thingy (Probably gets used the most at the minute)
2-Peakless Giro (Transfer?) for use on the Road bike or as an XC backup
3-Mace pisspot for arsing about...
4-661 strike full facer for DH.
5-Scuffed old animal MX lid as backup for item 4

I don't tend to spend alot on lids, just seem to have accrued a few I think I had 7 at one point, but 5 is sensible...

Yes I did also have an S1, and a cheapy Giro Flume that I used for about 2 weeks whilst I waited for my Atmos! Also got an old Exodus kicking about, so technically that's 7 helmets but I've not worn that in about 5 years!

I've worn all 6 of mine in the last 6 months, and wear 3 of them most weeks!
