  • How do I wipe an iPad with a screen that doesn't work!?

The screen on my daughters iPad Mini has gone.

It’s a 1st gen one and it was pretty slow, so I’m not keen on spending money on a new screen.

Cosmetically it’s in really good condition so may be worth something second hand but I need to wipe it.

When I connect it to my mac it needs to be unlocked so iTunes can access it, but the screen don’t work so I can’t enter the code!

The only thing of privacy on their is her social media and Gmail app so I don’t want anyone to get access to these.

    What options do I have?

    Ta!

What are you trying to do with it? Wouldn’t hitting it a few times with a lump hammer and throwing it in the bin be private enough?

Edit: misread you’re looking to sell it, apologies.

That would be a good option if someone wanted a kit to build their own !
