Hi Guys,
I helped a friend sort himself out with a bike a few weeks ago, however (being Welsh) he’s not what you would call ‘methodical’, however he does have an awful lot of confidence in his abilities to fix things he knows nothing of!
He has a rockhopper with Hope mono M4 brakes and in order to stop a bit of pad rub, turned the bike upside down and opened the bleed nipple. There is now clearly air in the system. I don’t have access to proper tools or spare brake fluid. I’m not exactly a mechanic myself but know a few bits and bobs.
With the bike the right way around, could i open the lever top cap to expose the fluid, and then zip tie the lever to the bar. Maybe leave it overnight to let all the air rise to the top… Maybe only a temporary fix…?
Or, does anyone have any better advice considering i am tooless and fluidless…?
Thanks in advance…
