My GF and I (and a bike or two) are having a nightmare trying to find somewhere to rent with relatively normal people.

We're looking for somewhere near Angel, Old Street, Hoxton, Shoreditch, Brick Lane, and on as far as London Bridge and Bermondsey.

We dont seem to be able to find any decent places at the minute and was hoping someone on here could shed some light on anything available or any good places to look, been surfing the gumtree, moveflat and spareroom stuff excessively recently!

We'd even be up for a temporary house sit type deal in the area to help us scour the area……

Anyway, its worth asking.

My parents live in Stoke Newington N16 (Hackney :?)

It's the best part of the borough, and getting quite gentrified as It's right next to Islington, but rents are slightly cheaper then Islington(not by much though), and it's not far from the areas you have mentioned above.

The best place to look is near Clissold park and Church Street.
