Anyone on here ever ridden this, got any gradient profiles, pictures stories etc? The climb from what I can gather from Google earth would seem to be about 1600m over about 30K. (about 4 times up the Minchmoor/GT red?)

My lass and her friend are doing a nine day charity cycle in Vietnam this November as part of an organised group, I'm afraid they might struggle with this climb which is on the last day of a trip where they're averaging about 100km a day in the mountainous north of 'nam. They're currently riding (mtbs on road) about three times a week, max distance about 30miles, usually less.

She got imapmyride for her i-phone this week and was a bit disheartened to find that the two climbs on her training ride were only about 50m each, and is worrying how hard a big climb like this will be.
Please tell her it will be a doddle!

that far into the 9 day ride she'll have gained fitness and will be fine. it's not a 30km climb, it's a 30 km section of a ride that just happens to be uphill
