I thought we best literally redress the balance with a selection of words or phrases that we should be promoting the use of.

the ones i can think of are too offensive to write on here

Museum (It means, “Let us think”, and I think that’s a good thing)

Not forgetting of course, contrafribularities, anispeptic, frasmotic, compunctuous and pericombobulation.

I like the word ‘flump’. it has two definitions

    1) noun: a marshmallow type sweet we all enjoyed as kids
    2) Adj: a contraction of two words; fat and lump

I yelled most of my favourites at my thoughtless, feckless landlord and his cluster**** of brothers and his simpering coward sycophant friends, their red noses and their red trousers in the early hours of this morning.

“Thanks for the last 18 years of unfettered care, money, effort and patience but I am now leaving home, will only return (regularly) to express my continued love and thanks for my family and will not continue to leach you dry at every opportunity.”

“Thanks for the last 18 years of unfettered care, money, effort and patience but I am now leaving home, will only return (regularly) to express my continued love and thanks for my family and will not continue to leach you dry at every opportunity.”

that flies in the face of the advice I was given by our elderly austrian neighbour when I was leaving home – he told me “Stay in education for as long as your parents will support you. Then retire….Thats what I did.” a while later he told me “When your dad asks you what you want for Christmas tell him firmly ‘Dad, I want your car’.”

If he’s still alive he’ll be local to you – I can send him round to do a bit of motivational speaking 🙂
