im after a winter riding jacket and have been looking at gore jackets, does anyone know the difference between the gore alp x and the phantom jacket ? thanks

is the phantom more of a windstopper jacket and the alp x a waterproof?

I think there are both waterproof and windproof versions of the Alp-x. Look at the Gore Bike Wear website. It shows fit, and I think Alp-X is more of the loose 'barrel' that the closer fitting Phantom

Unless they've changed, the Alp-X was an Active Shell Windstopper, while the Phantom is Softshell.
