I want a new pair of cross country/endurance wheels and I have got my selection down to Goldtec Pro or Hope 2 on Stan’s ZTR are they much the same? which one would you choose?

The Goldtec is probably the better hub, but the backup you’ll get from hope will be second to none.

The Goldtec is also quieter which would push me in favour of the Gtech.

Monkey, they’re both very good. I like the noise of a Hope hub.
My next set of wheels will have Goldtec hubs, with the Stans rims. Goldtec/BETD is my LBS.

The Pro Comps are lighter if that’s your bag, in fact a lot lighter to be honest. I think the new pick-up system (as in same number as CK hubs) is available too and that makes the rear very good, as in instant pick up when putting the power down.

Both are good but I would go for the Pro-2. I have a set with Stans rims from ‘Just Riding Along’ and have been very happy with them.

Some riders don’t like the noise from the rear or the Pro-2 for some reason …..
