Seen on the web site that deliverance is closed.
fancying a trip up but wondering whats the diversion like?
not sure i fancy decending on a fire road instead of deliverance only then to still climb redemption?

The diversion is proper good fun imo.

Never built for the amount of traffic its seeing now – but still good.

It steepish – muddy (recently) – some roots. No fireroad – well ok the first 100m are a flat fireroad left of the usual.

I thought it was very good. You shouldn’t be disappointed. It’s a natural trail in the woods with some good switchbacks and steep descents. It was starting to look a bit eroded but should still be good.

You can still get through on the original route, I rode Deliverance last weekend as the diversion is a bit knackered now.

We did it today. My son enjoyed it, but a bit too steep for me, especially the bank section where I managed a lovely faceplant…

It joins back up at the end of Deliverance / start of Redemption.

    Far more entertaining than deliverance.

Has a nice natural(ish) singletrack vibe to it – wish they would keep it

Rolled in, off the fire road at the top, “went with it” until I was about 3/4s of the way down…..then dropped the saddle 🙂
