Could I be so bold as to recommend a jaunt on the west pennines? Constant rain? Check! Trails like streams? Check! Zero grip? Check! Puddles that swallow your front wheel? All present and correct sir! Big slide over wet, slimey roots into a dry stone wall? It’s all there! All the fun of mid November but slightly warmer. What’s not to like 🙂

It can be a laugh riding in the mud at times. Not sure i’d like to live somewhere really warm and dry, i’d miss the mud 🙁 .
