From some grumpy walker to my lad and his Scout troop as they rode along quite a wide section of bridleway this morning.
Firstly, given that they were being led by their four regular leaders and two members of the county Scout bike team, I’m pretty sure they were riding considerately and carefully.
Secondly, these “youth of today” were on a 15k ride which was the second leg of a pentathlon challenge (500m swim, 15k ride, 5k run, fencing and shooting) to raise money for Cancer Research. Which was why they were all wearing official Cancer Research t-shirts, you blind old witch!
All partly because one of those “youth of today” is 9 months into his own battle with the **** thing.
