Signing up our student house for gas and electric, the landlord emailed me the readings for the electric meter, which is a off peak economy 7 meter, and has written:

    33082, 30693, 63776

Now I'm entering it into the British gas form online, and it asks for

What is your current Electricity meter reading:
    Night Reading:
    Electricity supply number:
    (Optional)

AFAIK, none of the numbers are the supply number but that doesnt matter, but which ones do i enter in the other two boxes? the two beginning with 3?

I wouldn't be entering anything I hadn't read off the meter myself.

Exactly that. The landlord may have made a "mistake."

Go read the meter, then call the utility yourself to tell them you have taken over the supply, or a hefty bill and and lenghty dispute could unfold.

Read the meter, andf take a picture with the current issue of the daily paper in the picture asproof the reading was taken on that day.

Then when BG, send the highly inflated bill you have proof ,and can start another thread, BG are ripping cusTomers off and i cant get through on the phone. 😀

Ok will do that then! (worked out that the third number was the total of the other two anyway).
    Cheers!
