My Garmin now no longer syncs with my iphone, having looked at various threads I see this is fairly common, but mine turns off if I try to Sync and at other random times, I have done the obvious things like turn power down off

Once it shuts down I cant turn it back on for a period of time, maybe 15mions

I was on 3.60, and tried a factory reset, now on 4.20 and its the same

I saw something about deleting rides, so I will do this now and try again

Any other thoughts

corrupt file in “newfiles” … a file with gpx file type in course
folder (this used to crash my 800).

if all else fails post up the garmin forum.

Have you done the hard reset?

Power device off
Press and hold Lap and Start/Stop
Power device on while still holding both buttons
Continue holding buttons when the Garmin “splash” screen appears
Release buttons when Garmin “splash” screen disappears

Thanks will look for that file, failing that will try a hard reset

Had an iPhone garmin connect update today, and it seems to have done the trick
