Peterfile, I’m liking the look of that ale but looking at the website it is hard to get hold of outside of London. Is that a 500ml bottle & how much?

I can find it all over the place in Scotland, from my local beer shops and pubs…where abouts are you?

I’ve just had an absolutely minging saison. No idea why the yanks have decided that it’s the flavour of the month, it’s called farmhouse beer for a reason.

Good, as it’s like drinking hot fudge and you won’t fancy much after 😉

Currently trying an ale of some form in the second pub of the night. I shall attempt to update as I work my way through… First had a generic “Blond ale” name… Was rather nice. Current ale is a darker one of which I currently cannot remember the name. 🙄

Basically this post is point less for the topic. Must take a picture next time.

I’m onto the second pint of my first brew kit.

It’s the nicest pint I’ve ever ‘brewed’ myself.

I have no yardstick of course.

How long have you spent just staring at the glass and swirling it around a bit, thinking “I made that!” with a feeling of great satisfaction? 😉

And a smile with every sip peterfile.

    Very satisfying.

I’m now contemplating making wine to gi with it. Just so I have a steady turnover. 🙂

doing a BIAB demo on Sunday at my LHBS

not sure what to do but my previous attempt at a Proper Job clone never cleared. so I might be tempted to have another try. Or maybe my favourite “Dirty Celebration Ale” which is a bit like SNPA, only more so…

just had a bottle of kit beer, Four Finger Jack from Bulldog Brews. supposed to be in the “american craft brew” style. not bad, but needs a good 6 months conditioning I reckon. a tad “yeasty”.

turns out I had the Black Cab Stout the other night, but guess what I found instead? a bottle of Proper Job!!!! yay and indeed woo

In celebration of the 6 Nations Rugby, my local has had Dirty Tackle on, which is very good indeed. Tomorrow, I believe it’s going to be Over The Bar.

Northernmatt, we did festival Golden Stag and it was lovely if really lively, open carefully and do not knock the bottle even gently otherwise its a beer fountain.
It also took a little while to improve so if its not great from the off, it will be 3-4 weeks later.

    Annoyed.

Tough week at work, a wee drink at lunchtime then popped into the pub on the way home. Which turned into a bit of a session.

Now I am feeling rough. Did the classic ‘wake up at 3am’ post beer thing. A day of DIY starts in 15 mins when my mate turns up.

    Ugh.
