I know they are there and its been well reported, but tbh, I have yet to see one? Not that I would want to get that close.

My local paper mentioned a mother with pigletts has been spotted near me in Callow End in Worcester! which is a fair trot from the FOD?

So how common are they and have you seen one?

If so, where & how close were you?

A family of boar wandered through the carpark whilst I was there for SSEC last year. It was amazing. I’ll try and find some pics

Last summer was repairing a puncture on fireroad just north of Staple Edge Bungalows all nice and quiet and my mate pointed out three ambling along about 15-20 meters into the wood.

are they fair game? or are the protected?
I’d be tempted to take one home for dinner if I saw one.

They are alien invasives and are not protected.

There’s lots of them here in Central France. They are hunted. Considered as vermin, the chasse (hunters) are allowed to shoot as many as they like, unlike deer which are stricly limited/protected!!!!.

I’ve seen what wild boar can do to a dog. But, I’ve only see live boar twice in four years. They are awesome.
