Good luck to Bob and a thank you to the family who agreed to the donation in what must have been a very hard time.

An update and closure on this thread.

Bob passed away peacefully last night surrounded by family and loved ones.

There were complications with the transplanting of the donor liver which took far longer than expected.
A subsequent infection possibly from a failed/dead section of the liver took its toll on Bob and despite battling for 6days the fight was too much in the end.

An absolutely awesome selfless guy who genuinely helped so many people and will solely be missed.
I’m okay but his wife and two daughters are devastated as you can imagine.

A massive thanks to Leeds St James training hospital- the staff are absolutely awesome, we really cannot thank them enough.

Thanks for anyone who read this thread, not the outcome we were looking for but in the end the drive over to Leeds didn’t turn out to be a problem!
