There I was sat on the drive in the sun fitting the repaired reverb
when I thought what was that droning .
then all of a sudden a huge cloud of Bees or wasps flew 2 feet over my head and disappeared in the distance .
Still sort of shocked by the size and noise 
It was aliens.
You should try having them swarm whilst on the second pitch climbing at Tremadog - very scary - and I was belaying!

an old school friend of mine once tried to collapse a piece of earth hanging over a stream by jumping on it. the wasps nesting on the underside seemed to take exception to this.

Yikes, swarms are quite scary, only encountered one once and fortunately had a vehicle to hide inside.
Something went down my t-shirt on the pleasant, sunny commute home a few weeks back. I hoped I could get it out before either of us came to harm but the fecker stung me and I had to squish it before it decided to have another go... since I was going downhill at 20mph or so at the time it was a little bit stressful.

I'm ashamed at myself for laughing at that. 
We host a a couple of hives at the bottom of the garden. Idly looked out of the window one day with a cup of tea to see the air thick with bees - one hive had had enough and swarmed. Never saw them again. Quite surreal, esp as the neighbours in the gardens either side were completely oblivious to it.....

Have personally removed an embryonic wasp's nest from our loft while wearing full motorcycle leathers, gloves, boots + crash helmet with the visor down and a towel wrapped around my neck
