Like, the one who has the 'best' or 'favourite' singing voice, & would thrash all those in bloody X factor!
I go for Roland Orzabal out of Tears for Fears. Saw him live at NEC yonks back & he sounded fantastic.

Mike Patton has a phenomenal voice, such a wide range...
Burton C Bell from Fear Factory also has a surprisingly fantastic singing voice, he spent half his career making grunting noises but on the occasions he actually sang, like Timelessness and Resurrection, he was pretty fantastic.

Bruce Dickinson - Iron Maiden
Meatloaf - once saw him at the NEC, we were in the rear block and they turned the PA off and he sang, could hear him clear as day!!!
Brian johnson - AC/DC
Mick Hucknall - not my cup of tea but very good live
also dare I say it - Michael JacksonPosted 2 years ago # -
would thrash all those in bloody X factor!
Well I doubt that - if you actually WATCH X Factor you would probably find many of them have very good singing voices. Much better than some of those listed above (such as Brian Johnson - I LOVE AC/DC but I would never ever suggest he has a good singing voice!!!).Of course, 'best' and 'favourite' are very different to technical ability though.
Hmmm

thats true most x factor contestants have more going for em than any of the judges or stars that apear on the show.
mrs cole must cringe as yet another contestant is better than she will ever be.Posted 2 years ago # -
None of my favourite vocalists would thrash anyone on the X-Factor.
and thank **** for that!FWIW - past: Jon King, John Lydon, Bowie, Stephen Malkmus
Present: MF Doom, Doseone, Andrew VanWyngarden (MGMT), RQMPosted 2 years ago # -
Lemmy - obviously
Lemmy on x factor. I would pay to watch that.

Do they have to be alive? If not, - Layne Staley; had major issues but his haunting vocals stay with you.
New AIC singer sounds eerily similar...Posted 2 years ago # -
Well I HAVE watched the X Factor (although I don't make a habit of it) & yes some of them do have good singing voices but tbh I don't think any on this series are anything special or different. I know what your'e saying about 'best' & 'favourite' being 2 different things though.
Bonn Scott & Brian Johnson I love the sound of but they were/are crap 'singers' imo.
Chris Rea's another one of my favourites but he can only sing stuff he's suited to.
Ozzy's another one I like.
All a matter of taste & opinion I suppose.Posted 2 years ago # -
Weller (early Jam or Solo but NOT Style Council), quite like Newton Faulkner stuff (havent seen him live yet).
For rock stuff for me its got to be Zac De La Rocha from RATM.

Blokey from the Pogues.
