The pictures of the Border Terriers just make me want one even more 😥

I love 2hottie's pics – and always look forward to them on dog threads. I think I might dognap him 😛

EDIT: The BT, not 2hottie 😯

    1) Beagle. Awesome dog, except when you want him to do something! 🙂
This is Oscar when he was a pup. He is 7 months old now, so almost fully grown.

    2) Vizsla or Weimaraner. Don't know a huge amount about either, but both look fantastic IMO.
    3) If we get another dog it would probably be a Collie.

Hehe, me too! She's persuaded…it's just finding a way of having one in a small house in town with two cats…that bottom photo of 2hottie's…makes my heart melt.

I'm not a dog lover, thats the girls in my family. We have a Boxer. She is without doubt the most stupid animal I have ever encountered. Solid bone from the neck up.

That's what we're getting once the back garden is finished and fenced this year , a neighbour had one when I was a kid and we used to love playing with him.

as a kid we had either Border Bollies that needed a thousand walks a day or Alsations (taylorplayer yours with the black head is stunning!)

I'm quite fond of a black lab/great dane cross on my post round it looks like something from 'Hound of the Baskervilles' but is soft as

    Nooooo, don't make me choose!

I'd love a dog, but unfortunately both me and t'husband work full time, and I think it'd be cruel to leave a dog on its own for that long. Plus there's the small matter that we can't afford to buy a house, and most rental properties don't allow pets. 🙁

    But if I could:

    1) Minature daschund
    2) Minature schnauzer
    3) Malamute
    4) Whippet
    5) Border Terrier
    6) Border collie
    7) Airdale terrier
    8) Lakeland terrier

    I'll stop now…

I think if we could have a dog, a whippet would probably be the best – they like exercise, but are also quite chilled out.

I met this little chap the other day

    Patterdale terrier puppy. Mentalists, apparently

I'd love to have one/some, and I'd love to have a lifestyle and a place to live that would make them a good choice.

I'm not a total fan of dogs generally, but have had Afghan hounds and German shepards and have a soft spot for those breeds, My heart kind've melts at the sight of husky/timber wolf crosses.

The best dugs however, are those treeclimbin' retractable-claw type dogs in the Felidae family 😉

It's nice to know people look forward to seeing the pic of Brian.

DD, We live in a small terrace house in the centre of town and this is why we got the BT, we have a secure yard with high walls so no chance of him escaping!!! The dog lives outside during the day whenever we are out. We are lucky as I'm at Uni so the little bugger isn't left alone too long. Borders are great all round dogs as they can live outside in all weathers yet his favourite place is in front of the fire! The breeder we got him from (in Brierfield near Burnley) had their BT's living with cats and had no issues there. Highly recommended. Will happily run all day but won't be put out if it's a quick walk around the park.

I've got a 2 1/2 yr old beagle – he is deffo a babe magnet!

When we move to somewhere with more space we will no doubt get another to keep Finn company (there is only so much rolling about you can do)

He is great – with structured training we have been able to ditch the lead!

Had German Shepherds for almost 20 years and also a Border Collie. After my last shepherd had to be put down (injured spinal cord), we got 2 Labradoodles (cross between lab and standard poodles) and I will have nothing else going forward. Great disposition (from Lab side), very smart (from both sides) AND they don't shed.

1)Heinz 57/rescue dog. Shes a half boxer and we think other half parsons terrier. Very cute little face, daft as they get and only listens when it suits her.
2)Labradors, both me and the missus wanted one(or two!) originally, but we saw Maddy and had to get her. Would love to get one as a friend for Maddy.
    3)Labrador.
