cheers lads, I had an Irish Water Spaniel for years, great dog.
Was hoping that's what you'd say about the ridgeback
dad was bit poodle bit bearded collie bit springer
Had a bearded collie/springer in the surgery the other day, was apparently beardy + springer mental. Does the poodle in it calm it down a bit?
here's my charlie boy
he's the 2nd rough collie i've had, and they are superb dogs. smart, athletic, kind and rather handsome. like a border collie, but less mental (i've had border collies in the past and think they're great dogs, but they're slightly crazy).
1 Dogs I have owned: longdog and dobermann (both rescue)
2 Dogs I would like to own: any rescue, but I would like a Wolfhound or a Weimaraner
3 Dogs if space/money were no object: hundreds of rescue dogs (and rescue donkeys and rescue ducks)
1. Boxers
2. Would like a Bernese mountain dog but couldn't be arsed with the grooming tbh.
3. We're getting a Bobtail Boxer next (although I've always had a soft spot for Rotties)

Cheers
Paul.
Forgot the dogs owned bit, short list mind.
Border Collie
Border Terriers
Labradors
We got out first Border T when they were still very much a dog only in this area and not really heard of, now there's millions of them.
1. Never been lucky enough to own a dog.
2. Would love a Lurcher:

3. But might possibly end up with one of these:

Lancashire heeler.
Fella who lives near me has a pup, see him occaisionally when out on the bike - I'd never heard of them before, but he's a bit of an evangelist.
dougal - she ( fudge ) is 2 yrs old now and has just about stopped being a puppy. she`s got quite a mild temperament .although she is always ready to play and has to have at least one scatty fit a day , which normally entails 3/4 high speed laps of the dinning room table.i think either the lab or the poodle bit helped.
At present:
1x old yellow lab.
1x Tri colour Cardigan Corgi X-ed with a Collie.
Both rescue.
What I want next: whatever dog I next collect from the RSPCA - it just won't be a small, yappy thing.
Westie
Irish Terrier
Pics of my IT Muprphy who died not that long ago, suddenly aged 4, superb dog to take on XC rides.

I am off to collect an 8 week old Irish Terrier tomorrow * ; )

The girl n me have already named our dog... sad we know, but we have been planning on getting one for a good while.
With the impending acquisition of our own first home we will more than likely adopt a rescue dog in the nearish future. Love Retrievers but will just go with the first one we both like at the centre type thing.
It will probably have to be a shop dog as well seeing as i would want to 'live' with it rather than leave it at home.
Anyway, here is Jazzy, the girlboydog - belongs to GF and her parents, he lives in aberdeen and has had tons of lumps removed and a broken arm, and lost an ear to a cancery thingy. I love him.

NO.
MORE.
BORDER TERRIER.
PICTURES.
PLEASE!
It's agony!
Some absolutely cracking dogs on here!! Those Boxers' are handsome!
Boris: My weimaraner, from a rescue dedicated to this breed! Not to keen on children as they make him nervous, doesn't always listen and does what he wants (hopefully doggy school with sort him out)

Chocolate lab, ruddy lovely dogs in every way
Boxer dogs, again wonderful animals
Rotty, just because they're big silly dogs
Vizsla, similar to Boris so hopefully a play thing if I can get one!

No pics of mine (I'll have to address that problem)
I,ve a cross breed springer staffy 3yr old from rescue
Patterdale terrier 1yr old from a pup.
I think thier great and I wouldnt be with out them ๐
Goon, nice dog indeed, apparently I have to ask if he would answer to Ted...
If anyone else posts pics of Border Terrier pups I'm going to get this thread deleted for the sake of my bank account and marriage.
Nice dogs But Golden Retriver wins it
Posted reply but forgot to add my list ๐ฏ
1,Rescue dog
2, Rescue dog
3, small dog something
need to see the dog, get that vibe from them, then I know they picked me ๐
I sneaked a look at your gallery yesterday 2hottie so I could see more.
I need to have a long chat with the Mrs.
Much as I adore 2hottie's Brian (honorary mascot of the Gisburn Forest trail volunteers), this here is my friend's hound Hugo who is definitely my favourite, a real character.
Four years ago, when he used to get taken mountain-biking or hill-walking somewhere or other pretty much every weekend, a lean, mean, running machine...
And now, greyer in the face, bigger in the tummy (so that makes two of us... ๐ณ ), and with four gimpy legs, still active but enjoying a slightly easier pace of life in the Outer Hebrides...
Goon, nice dog indeed, apparently I have to ask if he would answer to Ted...
Occasionally, when it suits him. How did you know? (Is that Maisie from Gap / Lurcher Link? If so I can guess how you know Ted. :-))
Not a terrier man at all, but the borders are so lovely.
Tony_m - We owned a liver spot dalmatian some years ago. He was a true gentleman among dogs.
If anyone else posts pics of Border Terrier pups I'm going to get this thread deleted for the sake of my bank account and marriage.
There are more than enough dogs in rescue looking for a home that are going for a recession beating price.....
Goon - yeap, the one and the same Maisie so you probably did guess right ๐
Was showing Maisie's "mum" your great pics and got cheers of "I know who That dog is!". now if I can only get her on an mtb with me and Maisie...
Whats my favourite breed? Any if I'm brutally honest.
Last week I stopped the ride so I could stroke a Westie and a Staff/Whippet-cross (the staff cross kept on growling at me but I kept on stroking) ๐
All dogs are great 8)
Scrumpy - aka stinky dingo. Our 10 month old short haired Vizsla. Went on his first ride last week and really well! He's mad as a box of frogs though.

That's true hora. They're all fab.
For me it's a Border Collie everytime although we're having a Border terrier now by the looks of it ๐ ๐
Our 2 - Jess (Blk/Wht) Grumpy, mental, reasonable obeidence, very loyal. Never enough sticks or running for her. Love her to bits.
Patch (Ginger) Mental rescue dog, reasonable obeidence, chases other dogs..horses..his tail..jess...scared by his own farts...chewed the sofa (now repaired by gaffa tape)..Love him to bits.
Wouldn't be without both of them.
