Since there seems to be so many dog lovers on here, it would be good to see a list of your favourite breeds. So...
1. What breeds have you had/do you have?
2. What breed would you love to have if practicality was not an issue?
3. What breed would you have considering where you live. etc., etc.?
Heinz 57s absolutely count, but please don't preach about whether or not you agree with selective breeding. And no arguing with other people's choices.
And include pics, if possible.
Mine?
1. Rough Collie (x2)
2. Norwegian Elkhound
3. West Highland White
Pics not possible.

Lots of girls will talk to you if you have a beagle.
Black lab pup is definate babe-magnet. ๐ Pity I was married when I got him. ๐ฅ
In answer to the original question-
Airedale / Labrador
German Shepherd
Spaniel.
Saw a Norwegian Elkhound at the vets t'other day -
Looked like a Husky crossed with a Hyena.
1 English Springer Spaniel
2 Hungarian Vizla, multiple ESS's
Border Collie, simply the best.
I've 2 retreivers but I would love a weimaraner, viszla or a boxer. They are all a bit demanding for me though.
Border Terrier.
I can't win though so we will end up with another Lab I reckon but that's a good compromise in my book.
1. German Wirehaired Pointer
2. English Springer Spaniel
3. Old English Sheepdog
1. Black Labrador
2. Collie
3. Labrador/Collie cross
1. +1 border terrier (love the pics 2Hottie - we have two 12yrs old)

Long haired German Sheperd
1. English Pointer
2. Hungarian Wire-haired Vizla
3. Beagle
Bulldog.
The Staffordshire Bull Terrier.
In answer to the questions asked.
1) Lurchers
2) Lurchers
3) Lurchers
Hmm, bit of a pattern there!
1 Welsh Springer, Golden Retriever
2 Irish Wolfhound
3 Will probably get a Border Terrier or an Irish Terrier
Dalmatian or Corgi, never ever having a Beagle again though they are good babe magnets!
1) Golden retriever, German Shepherd Cross (with what I have no idea probably some lab) and about to inherit a golden lab
2) Great Dane (but without food and vet bills), Greyhound/lurcher, German Shepherd, anything that compares in temperament to our (departed) GR or GSX.
3) As 2 (but not the Great Dane).
None, Never had one.
But really want a German Short-haired/English Pointer.
Black labs all the way. Had them as a kid and would get them again ideally.
1. Chocolate Lab - best dog ever
2. Great Dane / German Shepherd / Golden Retriever
3. As above
Labrador cos they are so incapable of agression and excellent family dogs, well mine is.
Spinone I just like the look of them
Neopolitan Mastiff - If I lived in a castle.
Has to be a sighthound of some description, lurcher, longdog or pure breed. I absolutely must have a deer or wolfhound at some point.
We've got a (six month old) chocolate lab, he's great with the kids, and although ruled entirely by his stomach (typical lab), we love him to bits. I'd originally wanted a newfoundland, but size and expense ruled this out.
Got a black lab and a staffie, both brilliant,
PJ.
Would love to have a dog but situation needs to change first...
1. None ๐
2. Lakeland trailhound or Westie or Border Terrier or Border collie or springer or Wiemeranier
3. Lakeland trailhound or Westie or Border Terrier
