Yeah, very fortuitous, but he did drive really well all weekend.
He does need to grow up and be professional though; yeah, you've got personal stuff going on, but you've got a job to do. Other drivers have their own stuff going on, but most of them don't let it affect their driving to any detrimental level. Hamilton needs to keep things to himself; I'm not interested if he's split up with his pretend GF, I want to watch F1 Motor Racing, not a soap opera.
One positive development is the thawing of his relationship with Alonso (who has himself matured a lot recently). Fernando was very complimentary about Lewis, which surprised him somewhat. And he reciprocated, so although they might never be bezzie mates, that they may respect each other more and get along better, could make for a better F1 really. A nice humble gesture from Alonso I thought.
I want to see the best drivers at the top of their game, slogging it out and giving us an exciting spectacle. I want to see the proper fast nutter Lewis Hamilton. I want to Alonso in a decent car that he can actually compete in. Because all that is better for the sport.
