A cracking day at Innerleithen with two_oab’s and one of thier pals. Muddy, fast, 10*c in December. A few iffy selfies.

Got tomorrow off for the last push on Christmas shopping. But **** that frankly, it’s all getting done online, and I’m going riding. Golfy most likely though I hear the call of the angry sheep…

No riding yet – but I am hoping to start next week sometime and have pretty much planned out the next 6 months with loads of riding time 🙂

This year has been a wash out!

First ride today since September!

I’ve had an infected cyst under the skin of my barse since the back end of summer and it’s taken three loads of antibiotics and a lot of faff to get it sorted. So today a bimble around the lanes and bridleways, maybe 25 miles, lunch at Brodsworth Hall. Back along the river via the posh pub for a pint and plans to build the mileage back up, legs a little heavier than they should be for a couple of hours. Might have been a good idea to change the tyres from touring slicks for the ploughed fields and leafy woods, but it’s all a laugh so long as you can keep it upright and moving forward. I’ll clean it tomorrow, maybe.

Had another cracking ride in the Peak. As much as I long for dry warm summer days, some of the views in winter are stunning.

I nearly took my two there yesterday, but eldest was a bit under the weather.

saturday afternoon 3 hr blast around the local secret trails. proper winter mud and not a soul. then a christmas party at our cottage…
